Work Environment: In Field
Corporate – Workspace is primarily in the Administrative Building
In Field – Workspace is primarily Off Site at various locations around the island
Plant Area- Workspace is primarily in the Power Plant Area
Hybrid – Workspace is a combination of in the Administrative Building and in the Field or in the Plant Area
Satellite- Workspace is at one of CUC’s satellite locations
Foreman, Lines Services
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supervising of and participating in the maintenance and construction of the transmission and distribution lines network and in accordance with pre-set skill level in the lineman apprenticeship training program, including;
- trouble shooting, repair and replacement
- installation of lines poles and equipment
- climbing of poles, stringing lines and working with hot lines
- service connection and disconnection
- preparing daily work order sheets and other related paper work as necessary
- to work overtime as required
- perform stand-by duties as required after normal working hours
- Assisting in the interpretation of work orders and ensuring work is completed in accordance with the work order and Company standards.
- Performing all work in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with the Company's safety procedures and practices including the conducting of job safety planning daily.
- Training and supervision of subordinate staff to ensure knowledge of, and compliance with Company standards and safety rules.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess:
- Completion of a certified lineman apprenticeship program.
- Five (5) years related experience in transmission line construction and maintenance
- ILM 2 certification
- Supervisory experience an asset
